Analog first notes are my default recommendation.

It would be a mistake to ignore the advantages modern tools bring to the note-taking game. Try these 3 approaches to add technology to your note-taking:

Use mobile apps: One of the best things I’ve used to support my note-taking is my phone. Every current mobile device has a notes app. In a pinch, this is a great way to capture information on the fly.

Try voice capture: With voice transcription readily available, making a voice note can be an easy way to get words to text. Great for those folks that have to talk things out.

Image-to-text capture: The text recognition capabilities of most modern phones is amazing. I’ve personally taken pictures of warranties, whiteboards, slides, and more. Being able to go from picture to usable text is an advantage.

These three options are time savers when you are on the go.
